What's on in November and December At IGNITE

Hello from IGNITE Gas Training. Next month we will have been open 4 months (unreal), and have welcomed to the centre plumbers and gas engineers from across the region, carrying out a range of courses.

 In January we will be running our first diploma course to support the next generation of gas engineers and will also be offering a course specifically designed for plumbers working within the heating industry who are are not currently on the Gas Safe register.   Other great courses are in the 'pipeline' for next year, which we are looking forward to sharing very shortly!

We have been blown away with the support, enquiries and feedback we have received since opening IGNITE Gas Training - thank you to everyone!  It's great to be up and running, with a variety of courses available and we have lots more exciting plans in the pipeline, which we will be shared soon.  Check out some pictures of the centre below... amazing how much it has changed in such a short space of time!

IGNITE is supporting Gas Safety Week! #GSW15

IGNITE Gas Training has pledged its support for Gas Safety Week 2015 and will be open to the public on the 19th and 20th September (Saturday and Sunday) to offer advice on how to stay safe and gas aware. We will also be stocking CO alarms (more information to follow) and have some other great offers planned too for engineers. 

IGNITE not only supports engineers but can play a valuable role by providing advice to the general public and organisations on matters such as gas safety and energy efficiency, and act as a point of contact.  

We also offer gas awareness courses to support organisations and anyone else who requires a deeper understanding of gas and heating. For more information about courses click here.

Under Construction Week 6 & 7

So close....   The major building work is now out the way and it is now time for plastering, ceilings, lighting and fitting the bay's. By this time next week IGNITE will be transformed and ready for the finishing touches!  

Although we are not open yet, we are taking bookings so call in or give us a ring to discuss courses available.

Under Construction Week 4 & 5

We never managed to blog last week about the IGNITE Gas Training unit and what's been happening but, needless to say there have been many changes, which is a good thing as we are opening one week earlier than planned (10th August 2015).

Downstairs we now have assessment bays, the electrics are all in and the first gas pipes and gas meters installed. Upstairs we have divides, lots of plasterboard and classrooms.  IGNITE is now starting to look like a training centre.

Next week the carpet fitters are out measuring, divides will be completed, ceilings installed, and the balustrade in. If you would like further information about courses at IGNITE get in contact!

Under Construction Week 2

This week the contractors continued with the mezzanine and have now hard boarded the floor. It's huge up there, which is great and allows for plenty of classroom/training space. 

Lighting has also been a hot topic this week, and the electricians will be starting very soon on the lighting for the assessment centre and downstairs training area. (The space underneath the mezzanine).

The externals of the unit were also given a face lift on Monday. We now have signage which looks fantastic. North East Displays have been great and are conveniently located opposite us!

Under Construction Week 1

The IGNITE Gas Training Centre is now under construction!  On Monday a huge amount of steel arrived to the unit which the guys set to installing straight away.  The unit is an excellent size, but we wanted to create some more space, so a first floor is being installed to accommodate two further classrooms, one of which will be an open mezzanine with domestic training bays.

We have pictures below of the progress.  Next came the joists and a lot of wood! The companies we have employed have been fantastic!

At the end of May we officially  took over the building 5, Larch Court... It is a modern building, which is great.  It doesn't however look anything like a Gas Training Centre.... but it will soon with the  renovations that we have planned and will be taking place over the next couple of months, ready for the August opening.  We intend on making a time lapse from start to finish but in the mean time we'll keep posting pictures of progress.
