June updates at IGNITE Gas Training

It's been a while since we last blogged and updated you on what's been happening at IGNITE, and a full year since we announced the launch of IGNITE. Unbelievable! The centre we are really pleased to announce has gone from strength to strength, offering a number of training courses and growing for the gas industry.  We have also welcomed to the IGNITE team new trainers, who we would also like to thank for their high standards of delivery and support. 

To everyone who has booked with us and decided to try somewhere new...  thank you! Your positive feedback is valued and appreciated.  Lastly, a special mention to our first group of diploma candidates.  Their commitment and enthusiasm to the course has been first class as has their desire to learn, which has been seconded also by our placement hosts. IGNITE would like to wish you all the best of luck for your final assessments taking place later this month. 

So what's coming up?  We have a range of courses starting.  Please check out our 'What's On' page and we will also be releasing very soon dates for: COMCAT 5, catering changeover and non-domestic changeover.  If you would like to find out about any of the courses IGNITE runs, please contact us to discuss further.

IGNITE Gas Training: 2016 here we come!

Looking back

It's been an incredible first 6 months at IGNITE. This time last year the centre was merely a pipe dream which very quickly from March started to become a reality. Once we found the ideal building the business took on a pace of its own and today we have been open and delivering a range of courses linked to the heating and gas sector since September.

We have started to engage and develop our working relationships with a number of social housing companies, construction companies, local education providers, regional and national heating SME's.

Feedback has been outstanding especially regarding the quality of training, and all engineers commenting on how at ease they feel in the centre, a key focus of IGNITE. We are also really pleased to be certified by 'Cert-ain' who are responsive and continually developing a range of courses to support the industry. 

We would also like to thank everyone who has supported and helped us reach this point so far. From Chris our architect, the builders and other trades who have constructed a fantastic centre, as well as support we have received from a number of others including colleagues from the sector who have provided guidance, training and assessment support; it's much appreciated. 

Looking forward 

2016 starts with a bang (excuse the punn!). We have the first 'New to Gas' course (for anyone looking for a new career) and for current engineers 'systems and controls' to support understanding of electrical compliance; including safe isolation.    

In February we will be delivering a new course designed for plumbers with existing qualifications to up-skill and gain their gas qualifications. As well as that, we have a range of 1 day courses, Saturday courses, LPG, domestic and non-domestic re-assessments, catering, changeover and much more!

What's on in November and December At IGNITE

Hello from IGNITE Gas Training. Next month we will have been open 4 months (unreal), and have welcomed to the centre plumbers and gas engineers from across the region, carrying out a range of courses.

 In January we will be running our first diploma course to support the next generation of gas engineers and will also be offering a course specifically designed for plumbers working within the heating industry who are are not currently on the Gas Safe register.   Other great courses are in the 'pipeline' for next year, which we are looking forward to sharing very shortly!

IGNITE Gas Training: October and November 2015

October 2015

October has flown by!  With a steady stream of enquiries and really positive feedback from engineers who have attended a variety of courses this month, we are pleased with IGNITE's progress to date.  Again thank you to all who have booked with us.  Below is a testimonial received from an engineer who attended the Saturday 1 Day Unvented Course: 

I wanted to add G3 training to my ticket but was struggling to find the time to go. Ignite offered this course on a Saturday which proved very useful. Following prompt answers to my queries I found the booking procedure efficient and the cost reasonable.
